ALCOM Security Pty Ltd was established in 1993 by our Managing Director, Mr. Quentin O'Brien as an extension of a well-established Melbourne based business unit to provide a new design and concept to security fittings throughout Queensland with the introduction of an innovative patented design for REMOVABLE security grilles (RemovagrilleŽ).
Queensland was identified as having a suitable tropical climate to market our Removable security grilles because of the obvious need to leave doors and windows open to create an airflow in the oppressive heat that can be experienced in the state. Another factor of this definite need for security was the increasing crime rate possibly due to the transient population with the majority of movement coming from the south.
At the onset ALCOM introduced into their business unit the sales and marketing strategies that had been developed and implemented successfully over a period of 34 years in Melbourne. These strategies enabled ALCOM to expand their Head Office operation from an initial staff of three to an experienced and qualified team in excess of 20 employees, many with over 20 years experience in the home improvement industry.
ALCOM Security have marketed their patented Removable security grilles for a period of in excess of ten years and recognized that the company needed to diversify into variations of security protection to allow the maximum results from any customer enquiry.
ALCOM Security now proudly comprises a wide range of security for its customers which includes RemovagrilleŽ, Colonial Steel Amplimesh and of course CrimsafeŽ.
